Property We are pleased to advise partnerships, private investors, companies, farming estates and institutional purchasers in the acquisition and disposal of most types of commercial property, from shops and factories to development sites and farmland. We also have particular experience in the sale and purchase of residential and nursing homes. We can advise on all legal aspects of property development, from financing to roads and drainage agreements. We have experience in negotiating and drafting option agreements and development clawback agreements. In regard to leasehold property, we act for landlords with property portfolios of retail shops and offices and light industrial premises. We prepare commercial leases, sub-leases and assignments of leases for commercial premises on their behalf. We also act for business tenants in taking on new or existing business leases from landlords or outgoing tenants. We are involved in the renewal of existing commercial leases on behalf of both landlords and tenants. This entails both negotiating skills and legal expertise, and the need to follow Court procedures and to respond within statutory time limits. |
